« Last post by CWazyTom on August 19, 2017, 07:58:48 PM »
Celtic Woman was on RTE One on Saturday, August 19, 2017 to promote their upcoming Voices of Angels DVD recording at the 3Arena in Dublin.

The performed a new (tweaked) arrangement of Time to Say Goodbye.

I really like this new version. It capitalizes on Mairead Carlin's astonishing range.

Here it is!

I really like this new (tweaked) arrangement! It leverages Mairead Carlin's astonishing range and remarkable power!

Today, it was officially announced that Glenn & Ronan have signed with Liffey Records (apparently a sister label of Celtic Collections).

They started recording in the studio today and the album is scheduled to release in October 2017.

Celtic Woman / Songs of Praise
« Last post by CWazyTom on August 01, 2017, 05:37:01 PM »
Today, Celtic Woman was in Westport shooting for "Songs of Praise."

"What exactly is BBC Songs of Praise?" you might ask. It's a weekly TV show that airs on Sundays on BBC One in the afternoon (the time appears to vary from week to week, but its running time is 35 minutes and it seems to air between 3-5 PM UTC most of the time). The show has a spiritual and musical focus.

No word yet on when Celtic Woman will appear on the program, but I'm sure they'll let us know.

What if I miss it?

According to the show's FAQ (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4kDydH7wTmgm9bM3fWwxR3R/frequently-asked-questions):

"Songs of Praise is not repeated on the BBC on any channel or format. If you are in the UK, however, you can watch each week's programme on the Songs of Praise homepage (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006ttc5)" (and on the BBC iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/). It seems it's the live stream and replays are only available for the UK region, so I'd suggest finding a number of reliable UK proxy sites that are compatible with BBC iPlayer.

I expect Celtic Woman will give us notice, but just in case, here's where Songs of Praise post what's coming up on the next show:

How many songs will they perform? What will they be? Will they be the whole show one week or just a small segment? We don't have answers to those questions yet as far as I know.

I'll post more info when I have it.
The single "Like An Angel" has released on iTunes!!!

I got it from CD Baby because it wasn't available in iTunes in Canada yet.

My goodness!!!!!!!! It's a really different sound, but it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this song has a legitimate chance to go mainstream.
That's odd. The link still works for me on PCs and mobile devices.

Anyways, here's a teaser pic!

 :D :D :D :D
sorry to say but the video is gone :'(
Today, Chloe announced (excitedly ... ok, really REALLY excitedly) that she signed with a record label and she's working on a new album!

Here's a live video of Chloe announcing the big news!

Some album art to expected by the end of the week.

The first single is expected in the next week or so and the album should be out by the end of the year!

It has been a long time since I've seen Chloe this happy and excited. I am soooooo happy for her!
Voices of Angles tour and CD / Interview on Ireland AM (Jul 17, 2017)
« Last post by CWazyTom on July 17, 2017, 06:08:07 PM »
Mairead and Eabha did an interview on Ireland AM today to promote the tour, especially the upcoming show at the 3Arena in Dublin:

This was a pretty good intervew. Sometimes they just get asked the usual questions in the usual way and the interviews end up being largely the same.

This one was different and quite refreshing.

That moment when they walked forward together during Amazing Grace with the wind blowing... OMG! Overwhelmingly awesome!

Here are some of the things they talked about:
- How cool it was to play at Red Rocks
- The sound changes a lot from venue to venue, even with in-ears  :o    ... that makes me even MORE impressed with their live sound!
- A little of their backgrounds
- Mairead and Eabha are in awe of each other's styles / abilities <3
- The Irish singer competition to singer with Celtic Woman at the 3Arena
- Male or female over the age of 14: any song, any style
- They don't get homesick on tour that much because they have each other
